Takeout → Gmail Importer

First — a 10-second check. This tool needs a Gmail app password (which requires 2-Step Verification). Make sure this account can create one before you upload: Open Google's App passwords page → If you can generate a 16-character password there, you're good. If it says the page is unavailable or “managed by your administrator,” this account can't be used — that applies to both personal Gmail and Google Workspace.

Getting a Gmail app password

Go to myaccount.google.com/security.
Turn on 2-Step Verification — this is required; without it there is no app-password option and your normal password won't work.
Open App passwords, name it "Email import", and click Create.
Copy the 16-character code Google shows and paste it above. You can delete it afterward.
